This is from the WIP, currently known as GT.
God, what he wouldn’t give to run like that again. When he’d
been whole, he’d taken it for granted: running, sports, mobility in general. As
a paramedic, he’d witnessed all manner of deformity and considered himself
sympathetic, able to relate. Being on this side of it had slammed home how
little he’d known about life with pain and disability.
He hadn't had a clue.
